Yay for well-timed encouragement!

My style is dictated by the type of fic I'm beta reading. One-shots are a pretty straight forward check for grammar/spelling, canon plot-points, characterization, phrasing, word choice, and tempo. Minor grammar/spelling mistakes I'll simply fix. For everything else I leave notes.

Now, with a verse fic or anything that has multiple chapters I look for everything above but also add universe continuity. I used to beta read for an author who wrote a fic that was so long she forgot some of her own subplots!

I can also beta translate from British to American (excluding spelling 'cause that's not important.) Such as things being "on" a street instead of "in" a street. A Brit would say "I'm stood in front of you" instead of "standing in front of you."

:)
