Hey, guys, just figured I'd put this here on my journal... I wrote it for a daily prompt over at dark_wilson . The prompt word is "ashamed". For once, it's actually a true drabble, 100 words exactly. :P lol

It’s not my fault.

He looks into the mirror, wincing at the sight of the bruises that mottle his skin, and wondering what someone would think if they saw him like this – if anyone would even care.

He’s driven everyone away until the only one who cares anymore is the one who did this to him.

It’s not his fault, either. If I hadn’t made him angry… if I hadn’t pushed so hard, made fun of him in front of everyone else… He never would have touched me if I’d just kept my stupid mouth shut…

It’s all my fault.

Liking this. ^__^ Shows how deep this reasoning is ingrained. A few chapters back there'd be 'He doesn't have the right to do this to me' in there, but it went bye-bye at this point.

no, it really isn't :( but wilson has house so brainwashed at this point that he believes it is, even as he's trying to tell himself it's not :(

It's depressing how this short drabble starts off in positive, healthy self-defense, only to fall straight to depressing, self-damnation in only 100 words. =(
